Radiology in cutaneous sinuses and fistulae
In patients with cutaneous openings, sinograph and fistulography are usually performed. Fistulae in the head/neck region and perineum are seldom life-threatening while enterocutaneous fistulae involving the small bowel can be a serious threat due to loss of fluid. Radiology contributes to the preoperative examination of these patients. Fistulography outlines communications to the gastrointestinal
