My dissertation project focuses on narratives about the relevance of Holocaust education in Swedish classrooms, especially since the inclusion of Holocaust education in the curriculum in 2000 and before. By employing ethnographic methods, I will analyze both current and historical educational materials and perspectives from pupils and teachers. This dissertation is part of the project "I folkmordets skugga: minne och erfarenhet av Förintelsen och antisemitism".
I am originally a cultural analyst with higher education in ethnology and comparative cultural studies from Germany (University of Regensburg), Poland (Jagiellonian University), and Sweden (Lund University). My previous research was mostly surrounding historical and educational questions with an extensive focus on museums and visitor experiences in exhibitions.
Today, I am happy to be a PhD student here at Lund University in the Department of History as a part of the National Graduate School of History.
