As a doctoral student in history my dissertation focuses on the evolution of narratives about the relevance of Holocaust education in Swedish classrooms especially since its inclusion in the curriculum in 2000 and before. By employing ethnographic methods I will analyze both current and historical educational materials and perspectives from students and teachers.
Before starting my doctoral studies I studied ethnology in Germany and applied cultural analysis in Lund. My previous research was mostly surrounding historical and educational questions with an extensive focus on museums and visitor experiences in exhibitions, which are still of interest to me today.
